I got home from school, and after my argument with Kourtni I had no one to talk to. I had no other choice but to pick up my cell phone and call Cullen. I knew I had to talk to him eventually, so why didn’t I act like the bigger person and give him a call?

After about the fourth or fifth ring, Cullen answered his phone. “Hello.”

“Hi,” I sighed as I sat down at my computer desk. “How’s it going?”

“It’s going,” Cullen replied with a sigh. “Sorry for being an ass on Saturday. I just had a freak-out moment. You know I’m a very jealous person. I barely like for you to talk to other guys, well, except for Tyler. I make an exception in his case.”

“I don’t know why you freak out. It’s not like I’m going to go off and marry Tribble or anything. I don’t like the guy like I love you. I love you, not him. I want to be with you, not him. I want to marry you, not him. I want you to be the father of my kids, not him. It all boils down to you’re my man, and he’s not. Plain and simple. You have nothing to worry about.”

“Yeah, I know I don’t have anything to worry about. I don’t know why I freak like I do. I just do. I care about you. I don’t want him to take you away from me. I know Tribble is capable of doing that. He’s a very flirtatious guy who doesn’t quit until he gets his way, but he isn’t getting his way this time. He isn’t getting you.”

“Yeah…you’re right,” I said as a smile crossed my face.

“So, how was your first day back to school?”

“It wasn’t so great. Kourtni and I got into a bit of a fight before school started.”

“What did you two argue about?”

“We fought over my whole fight with you. Kourtni said I needed to be the bigger person and call you. I finally gave in and called you.”

“And I’m glad you did. Now you need to make up with Kourtni. You should call her and let her know you’re sorry or whatever.”

“But she’s the one who started it!”

“Just call and be the bigger person, apologize even if you didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Alright,” I sighed. “I will call you later.”

“Okay…bye,” Cullen said as he hung up the phone.
