Hey now! Is Ben putting some moves on? Think soooooo. That was sweet of him to want to buy her a drink though. And that end...yeah there are some feelings between those two

wow! i go to this and all i see is BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP! thanks guys. Chapter 9 Finally, I was able to take a delicious sip of the hot chocolate I’d been craving all morning. “Good stuff?” Ben asked me as we settled at a small table, him rotating a thumbs up motion with a thumbs down one. I answered him with a thumbs up. He returned the signal. “My money was well spent, then?” “It was,” I nodded, setting my cup down. After pausing, I said, “You’re way too nice.” He grinned. “How so?” “I don’t know. It’s just that, well, you’ve been extremely nice to me. Is that how you are with everyone you meet?” “Hmm.” Ben brought whatever drink he had ordered to his lips. “That’s a trick question in a way.” “Really?” I inquired. Ben always managed a way to make me think. “Well, yeah. Think of it this way. When you’re first introduced to someone, you want to make a good first impression, right?” “I guess so.” “So, it always seems that you end up being more generous and kind around that person than you usually are until you fully get to know he or she.” I gasped, being dramatic and drawing it out. “Are you saying that you’ve only been nice to me because you want to make a decent first impression?” He stopped me with his hand. “See, that’s where the trick question comes into play. Everyone is nice at first just for the sake of wanting to come off as a friend. But me? I’m being nice to you for that reason, but also because I honestly like you. So, it goes either way here. I am nice to everyone I meet, but since you’re talking in terms relevant to yourself, there’s a double meaning.” When I didn’t respond, he asked with uncertainty, “Understand?” “Yeah, I get it,” I replied. “But do you honestly like a lot of girls that you meet? Or people, if you really want to put it that way?” He was silent, deliberating his answer. “I’ll take that as a yes,” I assumed, getting up out of my chair and heading towards the door. But Ben wasn’t about to let me go that fast. Figures. He was practically on top of me as he blocked my way to the exit. “I wasn’t thinking about my answer for that reason, Whitney,” he told me. “Come on. You know me better than that.” “Seriously, Ben? I’ve known you for less than a day!” “Has it felt that way to you?” That question surely shut me up. He continued. “Didn’t think so. But it’s okay. I’m right with you. I feel like I’ve known you my entire life. Are we rushing, or is this supposed to tell us something?” “What do you mean, are we rushing? There’s no we!” “Really, Whitney? Really?” I sighed, not wanting to deal with my emotions. “If you weren’t pondering your response for that reason, then why were you?” He slightly smiled. “If I answered that question truthfully, I’d be forced to pour out |
