Chapter 4

When I woke up, I felt happy. It was 7:42 a.m. I walked into the hallway and walked downstairs into the kitchen.

"Your up early." Joey said. Kyle was sitting at the table, obviously they were talking.

"Yeah, I know. Do you have any coffee?"

"Your to young for coffee. I've told you that many times!" Kyle said.

"And I drunk it anyways." I laughed.

"I'll make you coffee. New rule, while your in the house, your over 21." Joey said.

"Sounds good to me." I said laughing. I'm happy Joey is actually being nice to me.

"Here, eat breakfast with us." he said and I sat down. I ate some cereal and drank some coffee.

"So what are we going to do today?" Kyle asked.

"Anything is fine with me." I said.

"I have a date. So, you kids have fun." Joey laughed. My heart fell. Joey, has a girlfriend.

"I thought you were going to break up with her."

"We got through that rough patch." he said and put his bowl in the sink.

"You could take the kid out."

"I'm not no kid. I'm seventeen."

"Ok. Fine, look, have fun you too." he ran off upstairs. Kyle looked at me.

"I beliveve you have a crush...." Kyle joked.

"Are you kidding me? No I dont."

"Sure sure, whatever. I bet. So, you want to go out today or what?"

"I need to do a lot of paper work. More registration stuff."

"Ok, well, whatever floats your boat." he said and left. I sat at the table and thought about it. Ok, so, Joey is off limits. I knew he was. I mean a guy like him...I believe it. I went to my room and finished my paperwork. It's was 12: 13 now and I changed into a black shirt and jeans. I put some cash in my pocket and walked downstairs. Joey was sitting on the couch with a brown headed girl who looked around my age.

"Oh Christy, this is Laura my girlfriend. Laura, this is Christy." Joey introduced us.

"Hi." she said and shook my hand.

"Hi." I smiled.

"Were you headed off too?" he asked.

"Town. Just to look around. See ya later." I said and left the house quickly. I acutally shopped. I bought a purse, new jeans and something very very new, make-up. I walked to many places but it got very dark quickly. I walked in the door.

"Thank god, your alive!" Ben screamed and hugged me. I laughed.

"Yeah, I can take care of myself."

"I know but, your new here. Just be careful." he said.

"Got it!" I smiled. Joey was still sitting their with his girlfriend. Joe was sitting their with I suppose his girlfriend.

"Ok, new people Christy. This is Heather, Joe's girlfriend." Ben introduced us.

"Nice to meet you Heather." I smiled at her.

"You to Christy."

"And you met Laura?"

"Yes, I have." I said.

"Well, I see you bought stuff, what did you buy?" Kyle asked.

"Uh, nothing important." I sat down next to Kyle. We watched some 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' It's Joey's favorite show.

"That show get's better and better everytime I watch it." Joey laughed.

"It's stupid Joey." Laura said.

"But I like it."

"Oh well, it's really stupid. I got to go home. Bye guys." she said and stormed out the door. Joey sighed in frustration. He walked upstairs and he never came back down. I got to get to know Heather more. She's really nice.

"I'll see you guys toamrrow. Bye guys. Bye Christy, nice meeting you."

"You to Heather, bye." I said and turned to the guys.

"She was nice. Well, I better be going off to bed. Goodnight." I said and hugged them all.

"Goodnight." they said. I went upstairs and heard Joey yelling. He seemed really mad. I went in my room. I took a shower and got ready for bed. Joey was still yelling. He seemed very upset. I felt bad for him, but I couldn't do anything. I fell asleep listening to Joey, the possible guy I like, upset. It actually hurt!

Chapter 5

Two days flew by fast. It is now Friday and I begin my first day as a Berklee student. I got up, did my hair (which is something new for me) and done my make-up. I was anticipating my first day, but I couldn't wait to get their and meet new people. I grabbed my purse and grabbed my book bag.

"Hey, I'm taking you to school." Joey said coming out of his bedroom.

"Um, okay." I said and we got in his car.

"I believe you would rather be taken to school in my car then Bens crazy van." he laughed.

"True." I laughed and buckled up. Joey and his girlfriend have fought non-stop for the past two days. I've seen that Joey hides his emotions. He puts on a happy face, but deep down, he hurts.

"Ok, I'll be here about three o'clock. Let me see your cell phone." he said and I handed him my cell phone. He put his number in my cell and handed it back to me.

"Ok, I'll see you at three." he smiled his wonderful smile. I got out of the car.

"Bye Joey." I said and closed the door. I walked into the building and too the main office and turned in the rest of my paperwork. I walked to my class and got through my day. I met some new friends. My day went by to fast I think. I walked out of the building and Joey was in his car waiting for me. I smiled and got in.

"Have a good day?" he asked as we drove away.

"I had a very good day." I smiled and he did too. I could sence something was wrong.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Uh, you don't want to hear about my problems."

"Yeah but, I'm your friend so, I could try to help you."

"Well, me and Laura are really going through a rough time. And I don't know if I should break up with her or, just keep going out with her."

"Have you tried working it out?"

"Many times. Way too many times in fact. It's not that I don't love her. She just...she don't like the stuff I like. Like my 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' show."

"The only thing I can say is follow your heart."

"Thanks man. Enough about me. Did you meet any new friends or...fill me in."

"I met a guy named Drake and his friend John but that's it."

"Well, that's cool." he laughed. We pulled up at the house and we walked in.

"Just in time. Pizza just got here. Ben is on his way down so hurry up and get your food." Ethan said stacking his plate full of pizza. Me and Joey laughed. I dropped my bags at the door and kicked my shoes off. I grabbed some pizza and sat down on the couch next to Kyle and Joey.

"Did your day go good Shorty?" Ben said as he came down the stairs.

"Yes, thank you." I laughed. We watched a movie and we all decided to head off to bed.

"Hey wait." Joey grabbed my hand before I could get into my room.

"What?"

"Do you like dancing?" he smiled.

"Yeah, I guess." I smiled.

"Come on, the night is still young. Let's go dancing." he pulled me downstairs. I laughed and put my shoes on and got in the car.

"Think the guys will get suspicious?"

"No, were just going dancing. Now, I'm good friends with the bouncers so, I can get you in."

"Ok." I smiled. We went to a club called 'The Lounge'. Joey got in me just fine.

"Ok, the only thing you can't do is drink in here." he laughed and grabbed my hand. I felt like I wanted to faint. We got passed some drunk people dancing and we went to the bar.

"I thought we were going to dance." I laughed. He smiled at me.

"Be right back." he said and went to the DJ person. He came back and grabbed my hand and pulled me to the dance floor. Their song The Reason Why began to play.

"Kyle told me you liked this song." he whispered in my ear. It sent shivers all over me.

"I love it." I said. He pulled me closer to him. He hummed the song in my ear which made me almost made me fall asleep right their in his arms. He did sing one part though.
