CHAPTER FOUR

Zeke and I were hanging at the mall when we saw someone unexpectedly.
"Look, it's Carrie. And she's...she looks like she's crying." I whispered to Zeke, which was really unnecessary because no one was near.
"What are we going to do?" He asked me, I realized that even though Zeke had brains, he knew exactly nothing about girls.
"Go to her! I'll be in the bookshop, just SMS me if you need anything" I pushed him, and I walked fast so that he had no other choice than to go to Carrie.
And the rest was history.

I'm kidding, but whatever happened between them that day, I never found out.
I was in the bookshop, looking for a book that was sold out the last time I came, I kept my eyes on the shelves, looking for something interesting. I was walking sidewards.
*thump* something hard hit my side, it all happened fast, the next thing I saw were books scattered on the floor.
I closed my eyes tight and rubbed the part where I was hit, it hurt.
"I'm so sorry, this happens to me a lot." I started to apologize as I stood up. I didn't bother to see who my victim was.
"don't be. It was all my fault." A guy answered, clearly, he didn't bother who he hit too. He was scrambling to pick up the books.
When every book was in his hands again,
"Sasha? Nice to see you again." It was Dougie
It was very embarrassing. I mean, couldn't I have been more careful that time?
Why did I always have to be such a klutz?
"you too, so what's up?" I was such an idiot. My tummy felt like it was having a roller coaster ride, I was really happy to see him, but also as nervous.
"You mean before I hit you and knocked you to the ground? Nothing much, just these" he smiled a smile that melted me
"oh, reptiles?" I asked, I just realized that the books were about reptiles
"huh?..oh right, reptiles. You caught me, I'm a weirdo." He answered, blushing.
He was so cute.
"weird? no. I'm the weird one. I mean, who collects pencils? I do." We smiled at each other.
I didn't know what else to say. Just his gaze makes me fall to the ground.
I seriously don't know what happened, but we ended up having dinner.
We talked about random stuff.
I was comfortable knowing that I wasn't the only weird one. We were both weird, we even discussed how lizards and dragon look very much alike.
I was having a lot of fun.
"So...err...you and Zeke aren't going out, right?" oh gawd. That was enough to make me red.
"Me and Zeke? no. He's my best friend. That's it." I was shocked with the thought of me and Zeke going out.
"oh" he said in a sound of relief.
I was thinking I was dreaming, or hallucinating.
I really wanted to say something that wasn't so stupid.

I got an SMS from Zeke...
Sash, I'm with Carrie and things are going better than I expected. I can't make it to dinner tonight, sorry.

"It's Zeke, he finally got himself a girl" I informed dougie.
"I'm really happy for him" he said icily

We headed home after walking a little bit.
"Can I give you a ride home?" he asked
"Sure. Mom would want to meet you." I smiled at him, and he smiled back.

(In his car)
He turned on the radio, and of all the songs that could've been playing, it was Kiss me by NFG.
It was awkward.
"I like NFG, don't you?' I asked him
"you do? I like them too." he answered
"I don't think I've met a lot of girls who like NFG." he added.
"Maybe because I'm not like other girls" I laughed.
