Since theirs already a thread on Twilight, I figured that Breaking Dawn deserved one too.

I got the book yesterday after waiting a year for it. [Finallyy] I'm going to go ahead and tell you from what I've read, if you love Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, you will LOVE Breaking Dawn even more. It's 754 pages long...so I better get to reading. And if your currently reading it or whatever...talk about it here if you want.

So the wedding wasn't so great. I expected a lot more after Stephenie was ranting on about how she was so excited to write it. Then Bella and Edwards sexing was beyond retarded, especially since Bella's like a huge I NEED SEX NOW all the time now. And to top off the worst retardedness of all, Bella gets knocked up. What the hell was she thinking? Then after the publisher telling her to tone down the violence, we get Bella giving birth. Like that wasn't disturbing. Then after all of that crap, they name the kid friggin Resenenenenenememememee? what the shit?! and I pretty muched ROLLEDDDD on the floor dying when Jacob first called her Nessie and Bella flipped a shit "YOU NAMED MY DAUGHTER AFTER THE LOCH NESS MONSTER?!" epppicccc! I don't hate Jacob so much anymore. His bickering with Rosalie was friggin hilarious. But making Bella so strong and able to control her emotions and then kick Emmetts ass and save everyone. It was just a bit too much. Lots of eye rolling from moi. But towards the end of it I was like awww Nessies so cute *steals her*. And I love Alice cause shes badass. And the ending was pretty queer. I wanted a big epic battle with the Volturi. But no, Bella ruined it. SIGH ok i think thats it.

Basically, I had the same thoughts at Meg. I wanted some epic battle. I liked the ending though, it made me feel content in a really strange way. Overall, I liked the book, I'll just pretend that the beginning didn't exist.

And Meg, Jasper was with Alice when she came and saved the day.

ahh ok good. I couldnt remember for the life of me haha. I suppose I could have just looked it up in the book. I'm lazy.

The book was out there in some spots, but overall it was good. Could've been better, could've been worse. At least in the end there was some closure, and a happy ending. I liked it

I've realized that Meyer tends to forget about some of the characters, for a lack of any better ways to put it. Renee was absent in this whole book, from what I remember, which makes her seem like a really bad mother from my perspective. Meyer had stressed out the problem of dealing with Charlie when Bella would change, but all of a sudden it worked out almost out of nowhere? Idk, it annoyed me a little. Rosalie played a pretty big role in the middle of the book, but she was hardly even mentioned in the end. If I hadn't known better, I would've though she died or something. She still seems very much like an underdeveloped character to me. Jasper practically disappeared after showing up to baseball clearing with Alice and a few days from now, I'd probably forget he was even present at the time.
