Either, it's a baby when it's conceived and someone could be charged with double homicide, or it's not a baby until it's born and the person can only be charged with a single killing.

I had never thought of that. It's an interesting point.

There should also be like a stop on abortion after the woman is so far along in her pregnancy. Like 5 months should be a nono. Its like a full fledged baby then and there should be no turning back. But theres up to some point where its like "not a baby"

you're saying no matter what, abortion is never an option?

Kill one life to save another? How does that make sense?

The chances of her actually getting pregnant are slim to none. I'm finding stats that say from less than 4% to less than 1% of the time. The answer to the violent act of rape is not by the equally violent act of abortion.

There is still a chance for pregnancy even if it is a small percentage. My mom had BOTH of my sisters while she was on the pill - a 1% chance of pregnancy.

Don't say it cannot happen.

I'm pretty sure there is a cut off age. I can't figure out what it is exactly, but I do know that it's about 4-5 months, which I believe is way too far along.

Idk i could be completely wrong, but I think I've heard of people getting it done at 5 months and later *shudder* but like.. why wait that long? why not get it done right away?

Oh no, they definitely have. Some people have even done it in the 7th and 8th months. My mom's friend just told me about this doctor who does them in the very later months, but only for "medical reasons". Apparently, a lady wanted one but didn't have one, and they told her to just put a headache down and they did it.

we're not trying to change your minds or side with us, we're just trying to get a good look at both sides and make sure everyone realizes both sides. so i'm glad it's working.

same here erin.

even though i dont agree with abortion at all, but still think it should be legal..i think if a woman is to make that desicion it should be done the moment you find out your pregant and already know you dont want to be. like that wasn't your intention. not no wait til 5 months later

You can't read stories of those that survived abortions and not think that abortions are the most despicable of acts.

My mother had multiple abortions because she didn't want kids yet. She isn't broken up over by it at all, and doesn't regret it or anything like that because... she made the decision for a reason.

If you're choosing to opt out of the conversation, that's fine, but I find it hilarious that you only do so when we present you with actual possible scenarios that justify our opinions. Not to mention, you don't even do it in a new post. You go back to an older one and edit it? But whatever, I've made my point to the fullest, and all anyone else can do is form their own opinions.

I'm glad we had this discussion, and by that I mean everyone in this thread that has participated. Hopefully it will help people form their own opinions, because that's always a good thing.
