starts on two measures of G then verse
B E B F# G#m E B F#

...most of it is B E B F# G#m E B F#
then theres prechorus G#m F#
and chorus E B F# E B F# B E G#m F# E F#

then theres a bridge of that changes key and does a bunch of stuff and lands on
Ebm C#

then chorus again
then riff

two measures of G mean that you play a G chord for 2 measures. So in your case, as a beginner, you would probably just strum down 16 times. The strumming throughout the song is up to you. There's no specific way you have to strum. Riff means to repeat the same chord progression (B E B F# G#m E B F#)
